Hypercopy is a telegram bot that copies hyperliquid traders into your own account. Below are the questions we get most, grouped by topic. Each answer is short on purpose: the linked pages go deeper.

faq

what is hypercopy?

A telegram bot for copy trading perpetuals on hyperliquid. You pick a trader from a filtered leaderboard, set how much of each of their trades you want, and hypercopy mirrors their entries and exits into your hyperliquid account. Every copied trade reaches you as a message in the chat.

is hypercopy custodial?

No. Your funds stay in your own hyperliquid account, under your own wallet. Hypercopy holds only a hyperliquid agent key: it can place orders for you, it cannot withdraw or transfer. You can revoke it at any time from hyperliquid's api page.

what does hypercopy cost?

A builder fee of 0.05% of each perps order, on entries and exits, taken by hyperliquid at fill time. No subscription, no profit share, no deposit or withdrawal fee from hypercopy. Hyperliquid's own trading fee (0.045% taker at the base tier) and funding apply as they do to any trade. Details: fees and pricing.

what is the minimum deposit?

There is no hypercopy minimum. Hyperliquid's minimum order is $10, so your share per trade times the trader's typical order size should land above $10, or the copy is skipped. The bot shows you the smallest trader order that will be copied with your settings.

do i need a wallet?

Either bring one (rabby, metamask, rainbow, trust and other walletconnect wallets) or let hypercopy create one for you when you tap deposit. With a hypercopy-created wallet you can deposit from arbitrum, base, ethereum or directly on hyperliquid, and withdraw from the chat. With your own wallet you deposit and withdraw as you always did.

which traders can i copy?

Anyone in the leaderboard. It is hyperliquid's own leaderboard by PnL or ROI over 24h, 7d, 30d or all time, filtered to accounts of at least $10,000 that trade like a human: at least half of their volume as taker, no market makers, no vaults, at least 30 fills and a median hold of at least five minutes. You can also search any address.

what happens to the trader's existing positions when i start?

They are not copied. You join on their next move. Opening their existing positions at today's price would mean buying a trade that already happened.

how are my copies sized?

Two settings. Share per trade: the percentage of each of the trader's orders you take, from 0.1% to 100%. Max per trade: a ceiling in dollars per order, from $10 up. Leverage is the trader's, capped by the market's maximum. See copy settings.

can i add a stop-loss?

Yes, per copy. A stop-loss between 1% and 95% of the position's margin, and a take-profit between 1% and 1000%. Hypercopy checks live prices and closes the position reduce-only when the limit is hit, then leaves that coin alone until the trader exits the trade.

what is the difference between pause, stop and close?

Pause stops new entries; exits keep being mirrored so you are never stuck in a position the trader has left. Stop ends the copy; open positions close as the trader closes them. Close ends the copy and closes every position now at market.

how fast are copies?

Hypercopy listens to hyperliquid's public trade feed and places its order as soon as the trader's fill is seen, from servers close to the exchange. We do not publish a latency figure we have not measured on live copies. The mechanics that keep fills close are on copy latency and slippage.

why was a trade not copied?

The most common reasons: the order would have been under $10, your account had insufficient margin, the price moved more than 1% before the order reached the book (no fill), or the copy was paused. The bot tells you which. See why a trade was not copied.

how long is the agent key valid?

179 days. Hyperliquid caps agents at 180 days and hypercopy keeps one day of margin. You get a reminder 7 days before expiry; if you do nothing, the day before expiry your copies are stopped and their positions closed while the key still works. Re-activating is one signature.

does hypercopy copy spot?

Not yet. Hypercopy copies hyperliquid's core perpetuals only. Spot and hip-3 markets are not copied.

does hypercopy have a referral programme?

Every user has a referral link in their account screen. A friend who starts the bot through it is attributed to you. What that earns is announced in the bot itself, not here, so it is never out of date.

how do i reach support?

Inside the bot. The support contact is listed in the /start message, and it is a person who never writes to you first and never asks for a key, a seed phrase or a signature. Anyone who does is not hypercopy. See security.

is hypercopy affiliated with hyperliquid?

No. Hypercopy is an independent product built on hyperliquid's public api. Trading perpetuals is risky: you can lose all the funds you allocate, and a trader's past results say nothing about their next ones.
