Ten minutes, one signature. This is the full path from opening the bot to your first copied trade, with what each screen means.
before you start
- A telegram account.
- Either an evm wallet you already use (rabby, metamask, rainbow, trust…) or nothing: hypercopy can create a wallet for you.
- Some USDC. Hyperliquid's minimum order is $10 and copies below that are skipped, so plan for at least a few hundred dollars to copy a normal-sized trader at a small share.
step 1: open the bot
Open @hypercopyapp_bot and tap start. The menu is a message with buttons: deposit · withdraw, find traders, my copies, portfolio, switch wallet, settings. Everything happens under these buttons; you never need to type a command.
The /start message also names the one support contact. It never writes first and never asks for a key. Keep that in mind.
step 2: bring or create a wallet
Tap deposit · withdraw. Two paths:
Your own wallet. Choose connect a wallet. Hypercopy opens a walletconnect link; approve it in rabby, metamask or any listed wallet. Your USDC on hyperliquid, if you have some, shows up right away. Deposits and withdrawals stay in your wallet's hands, as before.
A hypercopy wallet. Choose create a wallet. Hypercopy creates an embedded wallet that only you control through your telegram login. You then fund it: send USDC on hyperliquid directly, or send USDC or USDT from arbitrum, base or ethereum to the deposit address shown ($5 minimum, it is bridged for you). See deposit usdc.
If your USDC lands on hyperliquid's spot balance instead of perps, the bot flags it and moves it with one tap.
step 3: sign once
The first time you copy, hypercopy asks for one signature: it approves an agent key on your hyperliquid account. That key can place orders and nothing else: no withdrawals, no transfers. It is valid 179 days. If you use your own wallet, the request appears in it through walletconnect; with a hypercopy wallet, it is a tap.
step 4: pick a trader
Tap find traders. The list is hyperliquid's leaderboard, 30-day PnL by default. Switch the window (24h, 7d, 30d, all time) and the ranking (PnL or ROI) with the buttons under the list, or search an address.
Tap a trader to see their profile: account size, PnL and ROI for the window, median hold, trades per day, average trade size, 30-day max drawdown, and their open positions. Traders the bot judges not copyable are shown with the reason. What to look for is on how to pick a trader.
step 5: set your size
Tap copy this trader. Two settings decide every order:
- Share per trade: the percentage of each of their orders you take. Presets 1, 2, 5, 10%, or any value from 0.1% to 100%.
- Max per trade: a dollar ceiling per order. Presets $25, $50, $100, $250, or any value from $10.
The bot tells you the smallest trader order that will be copied with your settings, so you can see whether their typical size clears the $10 minimum at your share. Under advanced settings you can add a stop-loss (1 to 95% of the position's margin) and a take-profit (1 to 1000%).
Leverage is not a setting: your positions use the trader's leverage, capped by the market's maximum.
step 6: start, and read the first fill
Tap start copying. From now on, each time the trader opens, adds, reduces or closes a perps position, hypercopy does the same in your account and sends you a message:
📈 long ETH opened — $1,239 at 2,412.5 · copy of 0xec0b…b078
Their positions open before you started are not copied. Your first fill comes with their next move, which can be minutes or days away depending on how often they trade.
managing a copy
Under my copies: pause (no new entries, exits still mirrored), resume, stop (no new entries, positions close as the trader closes), close (everything closed now at market), and change settings. Under portfolio: your balance, open positions and realized PnL per copy.
