Copies are placed on your hyperliquid perps balance, in USDC. This page explains how to get USDC there, whether you use a hypercopy-created wallet or your own.
which wallet are you using?
In the bot, tap 📈 perps, then 💰 deposit · withdraw (🪙 spot has its own, to the spot balance).
- A hypercopy wallet (the bot created it for you): the bot shows deposit addresses and handles bridging. Follow the sections below.
- Your own wallet (connected through walletconnect): hypercopy does not move your funds. Deposit as you normally do on app.hyperliquid.xyz, then come back: your balance shows in the bot.
option 1: usdc directly on hyperliquid
If you or a friend already have USDC on hyperliquid, send it to your hypercopy wallet's address on hyperliquid. No gas, no bridge, it arrives in seconds. This is the cheapest route.
option 2: from arbitrum, base or ethereum
The bot shows a deposit address for each supported route. Send USDC or USDT on arbitrum, base or ethereum, or USDG on robinhood chain, to that address. The transfer is bridged into USDC on your hyperliquid account for you. Minimum $5 per deposit. Timing depends on the source chain: arbitrum and base usually take about a minute, ethereum a few minutes.
Send only the listed asset on the listed chain. A different token sent to that address is not recoverable by hypercopy.
option 3: from an exchange
Withdraw USDC from your exchange to arbitrum (cheapest) or base, to the deposit address the bot shows for that chain. Most exchanges support USDC on arbitrum. Do not choose "hyperliquid" as the network in an exchange unless it explicitly appears in its list.
the spot-to-perps step
Hyperliquid has two balances: spot and perps. 📈 Perps copies trade the perps balance, 🪙 spot copies the spot balance. Deposits land on perps; move to spot what spot copies may use (🪙 spot → ➡️ move USDC to spot, one signature). If your USDC lands on spot by mistake (this happens with some direct transfers), the bot flags it and offers to move it to perps. Perps copies never use spot USDC.
how much to deposit
Hyperliquid's minimum order is $10. A copy that would be smaller is skipped. A pro rata copy starts at $20 invested, and when you set it up the bot shows an advised minimum for that trader: 10 × their capital ÷ their average trade, at least $20. Under it, most of their positions would be too small to copy. Deposit at least that, plus room for the other copies you plan.
Leverage multiplies both sides. A $40 order at 5× uses $8 of margin, so a $300 deposit supports many concurrent positions, but each of them can be liquidated.
faq
how do i see my deposit arrived?
The bot's portfolio screen shows your perps balance. A bridged deposit shows once the bridge completes; a direct hyperliquid transfer shows within seconds.
can i deposit from solana or another chain?
Not through the bot today. Bridge to arbitrum or base first with the bridge of your choice, then use option 2.
is there a deposit fee?
Hypercopy charges nothing on deposits. A bridged deposit pays the bridge's own cost, which is included in what arrives. A direct hyperliquid transfer is free.
i sent funds to the wrong chain
If the token and chain are not in the list the bot showed, hypercopy cannot recover them. Contact support through the bot with the transaction hash; it may still be possible if the asset is one the bridge supports.
